Ballotelli Liverpool Exit ??? Here is the answer

There was huge speculations raising regarding the future of Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli. The Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers replied to the situation by denoting that he is ready to help the talented Striker. The Liverpool forward have only found the net 2 times after his £16 M switch from AC Milan last summer.Recently former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini also mocked the underfire liverpool striker by saying the Liverpool Manager should be paid double his wage for managing Mario.Brendan Rodgers replied to the situation in pre match press conference,

Rodgers said ,

“Roberto knows him very well. I think
he (also) said if you work with Mario
you should be paid double – I saw
that so I will take that on board and
speak to the owners on that,” he
said. “All joking aside he (Mancini)
has obviously worked with him and
he knows him.
“Mario is a good guy and he’s come
in here and not scored the goals he
or we would have wanted, but we
are determined to help him find the
solution here so he certainly won’t
be going anywhere in January.”
Liverpool have held discussions with
Lille over the possibility of ending
early Divock Origi’s loan spell but it
would require a significant change of
heart from the Ligue 1 club, who
stipulated as part of the £10million
deal last summer the striker had to
spend another full season with
them.
“He is a player who will definitely be
here next summer but whether he
will be here in January….there has
been some discussion but there is
nothing to report on it,” said
Rodgers.
“The agreement was with Lille for
him to stay there so we will see how
that works, but if not we have the
players here who are developing and
we will go with what we have got.”

Sunderland 0-1 Liverpool : Player ratings

Here are the ratings of todays match as liverpool closing in on the 4 rth spot of premier league table. Markovic  and Coutinho had an exellent game as the reds beat sunderland for early markovic goal..

GK) Simon Mignolet – 6

Had a quiet afternoon, but his distribution was poor once again, and is now letting him down more than his handling.

RCB) Emre Can – 8

Made the goal, adjusted well to being repositioned to wing-back in the second-half, an excellent all round performance.

LCB) Mamadou Sakho – 6

Given an easy afternoon by the Sunderland forwards, but coped well with the half-time re-shuffle that saw Lovren replace Gerrard.

CB) Martin Skrtel – 7

Helped keep Sunderland very quiet, and made a couple of important clearances, but in truth had an easy game along with his fellow defenders.

DM) Lucas Leiva – 7

Another workmanlike performance from the Brazilian whose importance is continuing to grow in this side. Rumours of his potential sale must be unfounded

CM) Steven Gerrard – 6

Decent in the first half, playing a role in the goal, and looked ready for another big performance before being withdrawn at the break due to a minor knock.

RM)Jordan Henderson – 6

A proud moment for the midfielder has he took the captains armband against his former side, and let the troops well in the second half.

LM) Alberto Moreno – 7

A constant threat down the left hand side, and was another youngster to impress in a Red shirt today. Steadily improving for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

AM) Philippe Coutinho – 8

The focal point once again in Liverpool’s attack, and the Reds’ December Player of the Month was hugely impressive as he controlled the play.

AM) Lazar Markovic – 8

Scored the goal and impressed throughout. Should have had a penalty in the first-half and nearly scored a screamer when he instead hit the post.

ST) Fabio Borini – 6

Worked hard, but the ball just wouldn’t fall for him at the crucial moment. Probably lacks the quality to make it at this level, despite his efforts.

Manager: Brendan Rodgers – 7

Deservedly got the three points he was after, and the top four is very much back within touching distance. A good day for the Northern Irishman.

Subs :

1) Dejan Lovren – 6 – Looked solid enough coming off the bench, although he wasn’t particularly tested.

2) Mario Balotelli – 5 – His second-half slip when seemingly through on goal summed up his Liverpool career.

WorldClass defender heading to Liverpool on a swap deal ???

Nemanja Vidic to Anfield? It seems highly improbable, but reports in Italy today claim that the 'world class' Manchester United legend is part of a swap-deal proposal currently being considered by Liverpool.

According to CalcioMercato today, Inter Milan have offered Vidic to the Reds in exchange for Lucas Leiva.

At first glance, it seems far-fetched, but Milan are definitely interested in €12m-rated Lucas, and new boss Roberto Mancini confirmed this in December, when he told reporters:

"[Lucas Leiva] is a great player, but he belongs to Liverpool and it's going to be hard to get him. He would be useful, though, as he can help us, and help our younger players grow."

In recent months, Lucas has made clear his frustration at becoming a bit-part player at Liverpool:

* In October, he warned: “I want to play. I need to find a solution either at Liverpool or at another club. [if] I don’t find space at Liverpool, I should start to make a move".

* Lucas also confirmed that Napoli tried to sign him over the summer: “There was something with Napoli but it wasn’t a positive situation for both parties. Despite this, it’s true that Benitez always had great faith in me.”

* Speaking to Radio Marca in November, Lucas sent another indirect message to Rodgers: "I must think about leaving as there is no room for me at Liverpool. I'm not speaking to anyone at the moment, but I am looking around, given I am not playing".

* Soon after, Lucas's Agent, Henrique Coelho, also confirmed that a January transfer is possible: “Is it possible that Lucas could leave Liverpool in January? Yes, naturally. Lucas really likes Rafa Benitez. After all, the two know each other well from when the Spaniard was manager of Liverpool.”

Lucas - recently hailed by Rodgers for his 'incredible' attitude - is a model professional, but despite his recent return to the first team, he is still (arguably) surpplus to requirement, and it's surely just a matter of time before he moves on to another club.

With that in mind, if Lucas is to leave, is Vidic a good player to get in exchange? The Serb has been on the bench for Inter's last six games, so he's clearly not essential to the team, and there's no denying his talent, experience, and leadership ability.

Vidic will be 34 this year, though, and he'd be nothing more than a temporary stop-gap. Additionally, Lucas is worth more in monetary terms, so a straight swap with no cash involved will see the Reds make a financial loss.

Liverpool Confirms their first January Transfer

Liverpool midfielder Suso agrees to join AC Milan on a four year contracC
by tamojitc on January 7, 2015
After we reported yesterday that Liverpool midfielder Suso has reached an agreement to join Italian side AC Milan on a four year contract, the player’s agent has also confirmed that his client is set to leave Anfield.

As per Liverpool Echo, Suso’s agent Jaime Serra said, “Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract There’s a possibility (he will arrive in January). We’ll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window.”

Suso’s departure brings down curtains on what might have been a great future for the Spaniard had he stayed at the Anfield side. The midfielder however hasn’t been given the chance to shine and manager Brendan Rodgers inexplicably has refused to play him. The 21 year who joined the club’s famed youth academy in 2010 has just played one game this season and had scored in his only appearance.

The midfielder’s contract is set to expire in the summer and there were no talks of a possible extension. Sky Sports had earlier reported this AC Milan have reached an agreement with his agent and a four year contract is mooted. While the Rossoneri are getting yet another player on a free, Liverpool should be kicking themselves for not being farsighted.

Where will the Liverpool legend play next season .??

A day after he announced he was not renewing his Liverpool after 17 seasons with the Reds, Steve Gerrard said on Saturday he was leaving for America after the current English Premier League season. By the end of the day, multiple reports had him moving to the LA Galaxy on a 18-month contract.

Gerrard said it was time for a switch when Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers told him he would not be an automatic choice in the Reds' lineup.

“I’m bright enough to realize it is the right thing for everyone, but when you’ve been a starter and a mainstay in the team for such a long time, it was a very difficult conversation to have with the manager,” Gerrard said in an interview with liverpoolfc.com. “I had an idea it was going to come at some time -- I’m a human, not a robot.”

Gerrard has played his entire career at Liverpool, his hometown club. He has played 695 games for the Reds and helped them win the UEFA Champions League in 2005 and UEFA Cup in 2011. He's won the FA Cup twice and League Cup three times but will finish his career without ever winning the Premier League. Liverpool finished second in the EPL last season but finds itself in eighth place, 17 points off the pace after New Year's Day.

“I’ll be going to play in America,” the 34-year-old Gerrard said. “I’m not over the line with any team just yet. I’m close and as soon as I know, I’ll make the announcement. I’d love nothing better than to try to win a trophy and leave the team in the top four.”
